Robofest
Who: Robotics Team
What: Robofest
When: Saturday, September 23rd and Sunday, September 24th
Where: State Fair in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Why: To get into 2nd competition and also get some robot-driving experience
On September 23rd and 24th, 50,000 spectators passed through the Maker's Faire at the Wisconsin State Fair Park and watched Robofest, where the Laser Robotics Team competed. This gave our members some robot-driving experience while educating the spectators about FIRST and stem learning programs. When we first got there, the competition proved to be a very unique and useful experience for the team, as we were given the opportunity to get to try the different stations for the driving team. We had a blast and placed 2nd in the Robofest competition!
On Sunday our team, along with other FIRST teams, were given the opportunity to participate in a mock competition by “acting” like the robots we would usually control. The result was absolutely hilarious!
